MAR THOMA INSTITUTE OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY (MIIT)

Established in 2002 and promoted by Mar Thoma ETTARC, the Mar Thoma Institute of Information Technology (MIIT) stands as a beacon of academic excellence. Affiliated to the University of Kerala, the institute is dedicated to nurturing future-ready professionals in the fields of management and technology.

Serene Campus & Infrastructure

MIIT is situated in Ayur on the MC Road, strategically located 48 km from Trivandrum and 32 km from Kollam. The institute is spread over a 29-acre serene and lush green campus, providing an ideal environment for learning.

We offer excellent infrastructure and facilities tailored for both curricular and extracurricular activities. To ensure a comfortable stay for our outstation students, dedicated hostel facilities for boys and girls are available right on the campus.

The institute operates under the distinguished guidance of our Manager, Rt. Rev. Dr. Isaac Mar Philoxenos Episcopa, the Bishop of the Trivandrum-Kollam Diocese of the Mar Thoma Church.

The leadership team is further strengthened by:

• Director: Dr. Simon George (Former Dean of TA Pai Management Institute - TAPMI, Manipal).
• Principal: Prof. Dr. Ambilikumar (Former Professor, Director, and Dean from the Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies - KUFOS).

Both leaders bring extensive years of academic leadership and teaching experience, supported by a professional team in leadership and advisory roles.

Academic Departments

MIIT features two specialized schools offering premier postgraduate programs:

1. The School of Management (MBA)

Our MBA program is designed for aspiring executives. It offers specialized training in:

• Logistics and Supply Chain Management
• Finance
• Marketing
• Human Resource Management

Dual Specialization: Students have the unique opportunity to pursue two specializations simultaneously—one as a Major and the other as a Minor.

2. The School of Information Technology (MCA)

The MCA program focuses on industry-relevant courses to keep pace with the evolving tech landscape. A key highlight of the program is a one-semester in-company internship, ensuring students gain vital hands-on experience in the corporate sector.
