Mar Thoma Institute of Information Technology (MIIT)

Mar Thoma Institute of Information Technology (MIIT) was established in 2002 and is promoted by Mar Thoma ETTARC. The College is affiliated to the University of Kerala. MIIT is located in Ayur, on MC road which is about 48 kms from Trivandrum and 32 kms from Kollam.  The institute is spread over 29 acres of serene and lush green campus, with excellent infrastructure and facilities for curricular and extracurricular activities. Hostel facilities are also available for boys and girls, in the campus. The Manager of the institute is Rt. Rev. Dr Isaac Mar Philoxenos Episcopa, the Bishop of the Trivandrum  Kollam diocese of Mar Thoma church  and supported by a team of professionals in the leadership and advisory.

The Institute has two departments/Schools, which runs Postgraduate Programmes under its 

1.      The School of Information Technology (MCA)

2.     The School of Management (MBA)

Both the Programmes are affiliated to Kerala University. It boasts of sincere and committed faculty members who very actively support the students in curricular, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. The institute lends excellent Placement support to its students. The MBA Programme provides specializations in Marketing, Finance, HR and Operations. MCA programme offers many industry-relevant courses including one semester of in- company internship.

The institute is now headed by Dr. Simon George (former Dean of TA Pai Management institute (TAPMI) Manipal as Director, and Prof. Dr. Ambilikumar (Former Professor, Director and Dean from the Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies (KUFOS)) as Principal. Both bring long years of academic leadership and teaching experience to the institute. MIIT aspires to become one of the best schools in Kerala, offering MBA and MCA programmes.
