Dr.V.Ambilikumar 

Dr.V.Ambilikumar M.Com, MBA ,Ph.D. is a former Professor, Director and Dean from the Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies (KUFOS), Panangad, Kochi with 32 years of teaching and research experience. He has headed the Department of Business Administration and Management for a period of 4 years, occupied the positions of Director, School of Management and Entrepreneurship and Dean of the faculty of fisheries management. The first Ph.D in commerce from the University of Kerala was awarded to him in the year 1990. Nine Ph.Ds were awarded under his supervision and guidance. He has represented KUFOS in many forums including the seminar organized by the Research Council of Norway and the Norwegian Agency for International cooperation and Quality Enhancement in Higher Education (DIKU) during 5-6 February 2020 at IIT, Chennai.

 He has also served as the subject expert for the selection of Professors, Associate Professors and Assistant Professors in various colleges in Kerala. He has served the University of Kerala, Mahatma Gandhi University, Kannur University, Cochin University of Science and Technology, Calicut University, Madurai Kamaraj University, Manonmaniam Sudaranar University, Thirunelveli, VIT, Vellore, Kerala Agricultural University, Tamil Nadu Dr.J.Jayalalithaa Fisheries University as external expert for the evaluation of Ph.D theses, chairman of open defence for Ph.D, external expert for pre- submission seminar of Ph.D theses, M.Phil, M.Com, MBA, M.F.Sc. programmes. He has administrative experience as Finance Officer of KUFOS, Public Information Officer, Assistant Warden, Chairman of Campus Development Committee, Officer in charge of Thiruvallom regional centre of KUFOS, Internal Vigilance Officer of KUFOS and Officer in charge of vehicles. 

He was the Principal investigator of four external aided projects and co – principal investigator of one project funded by the DBT, Govt. of India. He has published 62 research papers and presented papers in a number of national and international conferences and seminars. He was also a member of the Academic Council of CUSAT and KUFOS, Senate member of CUSAT, KUFOS and Sree Narayana Guru National Open University, Member of the Faculty of Social Sciences, CUSAT, Research Council and Statute Amendment Committee of KUFOS, Chairman of the Faculty Board of Studies and School Governing Council in KUFOS, He is a life member of the Indian Accounting Association.
